Greg Porper is an award-winning writer, director, and producer known for edgy, character-driven comedies that blend humor, tension, and unexpected turns.
Porper wrote, directed, and produced the dark comedy feature Don’t Tell Larry, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival and was released theatrically in 2025. Acquired for U.S. distribution and international sales by Level 33 Entertainment, the film is now streaming nationwide on Amazon Prime, Tubi, Apple TV, and more, and holds an 87% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
As the film’s lead producer, Porper developed, pitched, and executed its business plan, securing financing from more than three dozen investors and overseeing a team of more than 100 people through production, festival strategy, and distribution.
For more than a decade, Porper has worked as a development executive and freelance producer, developing and producing projects for Netflix, Fox, ESPN, MTV, truTV, Viceland, Discovery+, and more. He created, sold, and served as showrunner of the ten-episode CW digital series Worst Birthday Ever, and continues to create original features, social-first comedy series, and micrositcoms. His pilots and shorts have been featured on The Black List, CollegeHumor, and Funny or Die, and screened at festivals across the country.
Porper also consults with filmmakers and creators on development, production strategy, pitching, and navigating projects from concept through execution.
